The sequel to Migos' Grammy-nominated Culture album drops this Friday (Jan. 26) but details about it have been mostly quiet. That changes today (Jan. 22), as Quavo posted the production credits for Culture II on Instagram. The post itself is a picture of a legal pad, with stylized versions of all of the producer's names.
Quavo captioned it with, "U M A D E T H A C U T ?????? C U L T U R E I I 1 / 26 / 18." The list is full of established names like Metro Boomin, Kanye West, Mike Dean, Pharrell and more.
There are newer producers like Ricky Racks and Earl The Pearl, to name a few. Surprisingly, Quavo has a solo production credit on the album. The album lists "Huncho" (Quavo) and Migos mainstay
DJ Durel as executive producers. With the album just days away, Migos have been busy promoting Culture II. The Atlanta rap trio just dropped their third single, Honorable C.N.O.T.E. and Budda Bless co-produced "Supastars." "Camera phone, Scarface, Al Capone/Turn your lights off, nigga, we've been on/Came from my block and growed up, guess I'm homegrown/Well known, cookie, that is my cologne,"
Takeoff brags, showing how far he's come. In a recent interview on Beats 1 Radio regarding the new LP, Quavo told Ebro Darden that they pushed for a scene with Cardi and Nicki together for the "Motorsport" video.
While the union didn't end up happening, that's an interesting tidbit about a song that worked out pretty well for every artist involved.
Singer Ciara’s message about what women should do to find a husband was meant to inspire but instead it ignited the wrath of Twitter. And now, the “I Bet” singer is clearing the air about what she meant by telling folks to “#LevelUp. On Saturday, Jan. 20, the former single mom turned wife of Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson tweeted and Instagrammed
a 2016 sermon from pastor John Gray who gave advice to singles who hope to get married. Although the full clip saw Gray addressing men, the portion Ciara posted was directed at women. “Too many women wanna be married but you’re walking in the spirit of a girlfriend,” he said. “When you carry yourself like a wife, a husband will find you. But if you keep walking like a girlfriend, boys will play with you.”
The tweet triggered a storm of responses. And even though she had some support, by Sunday, Jan. 21 Ciara posted a message explaining how her faith led her to find love … with herself. “I was a single mom sitting at home and then I realized that the perfect love I was looking for was how God loves me,” Ciara wrote before concluding, “That’s when I realized married or not, I need to love myself.”
Love and hip-hop are not two words generally spoken within the same sentence, unless of course you’re a fan of the long-running, scripted reality series. While there are plenty of rappers who have stood the test of time with their spouses, there are still dozens more who enjoy playing the field and keeping their options open.
As most of us know, Waka Flocka Flame used to be that guy, but after locking it down with his wife, singer and entrepreneur Tammy Rivera-Malphurs, the “Trap My Ass Off” rapper’s life has significantly changed for the better. “I used to be one of those people that say, ‘Yo, fuck these bitches,'” "'I don’t need no bitch.’ When I got a woman, I was like, ‘You right. It’s fuck these bitches.’” The happily wedded partners began dating in 2010, and proceeded to elope on Jan. 21, 2014. Today marks Waka and Tammy's four-year wedding anniversary.
Throughout the years, fans of the two have watched their relationship play out on both Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta and social media—even the not-so-good moments, like when the two temporarily split in 2016, due to Waka cheating. Nevertheless, Waka enjoys every minute of his marriage with Tammy since their reunion. When it comes to what he appreciates most about his wife, it's the little things. “Having that significant other at the moments when you really need somebody to just to talk to," the 31-year-old shares.
"It’s them hugs. I don’t know, man. It’s like, when that lil' lady hug me, man, I just turn into a toddler. And just to have somebody next to you that can do that, that shit feel amazing.” Since Waka's been through both the good and the bad in his marriage, he's got some pointers for newly-engaged couples like Offset and Cardi B, whose highly-publicized relationship took a turbulent turn towards the end of 2017. “My advice for them is keep your house strong," Waka advises. "Don’t let nobody get inside your household and change your opinions and the way you feel about your spouse or your significant other.
I think y’all should always have an understanding and have a ground; y’all should always talk about things, like, ‘Baby, if this happened,’ or ‘What if this happened?’ I think it should always be y’all two agreeing on whatever happens next, before anybody else put words in y’all mouth or ideas in your mind.” For couples who jumped the broom years ago and are still holding strong—or not—the rhymer believes the key to marital longevity is keeping things fresh. “Y’all gotta keep going out, y’all gotta do different shit," suggests Waka, whose Flockaveli 2 album arrives this year. "Y’all can’t just sit home, watch TV, fuck, eat food, go to family events; y’all gotta travel.” Waka, who uses his sky miles to travel with Tammy quite frequently, believes a lot of marriages fail because of work and partners distancing themselves from one another over time. “You have to experience shit together, for the first time,” he adds before admitting awareness is another crucial factor.
“You gotta be cautious and you have to think when you make moves, because you’re representing another person,” the humbled husband admits. “So you have to approach things from a perspective of being a married man; on top of being an artist; on top of being a celebrity. You have to stand for damn-near the same things she stands for. So if somebody ask me a question, I damn-near gotta answer it how both of us feel, not just how I feel. How would she look at it? It’s always ‘How would Tammy look at this?’
or ‘What does Tammy think?’ So it’s like that.” As Waka and Tammy enter their fourth year of marital bliss today, which will likely be full of celebration, the Atlanta native has this to say about their union: "That shit so right, and it can never be wrong no matter how wrong the situation might be or how it should look. The energy and the vibe is always there; it never left." Now that's something to celebrate.
Judge Judy is in the middle of a lawsuit, but this time she's not presiding ... she's the defendant. The Estate of Sandi Spreckman along with Kaye Switzer are suing Judy and CBS, claiming they helped develop
her insanely popular court show back in 1995 and they were cut out of all the profits ... especially when Judy sold the show's library to CBS for a reported $95 million. Switzer and Spreckman were actually staffers on "The People's Court" during
Wapner's run and got in touch with Judy and brought her to Larry Little, the producer who got the show up and running. The 2 women were dismissed early on.
They are gunning for $4.75 million, minimum. We reached out to Judy's rep. So far, no comment.
Drake is giving his YOLO Estate a face-lift, and the scope of the project is massive. The Toronto rapper has been remodeling his Hidden Hills mansion since March 2017, according to building permits obtained by JAMZ 101.5 HD2 ATLANTA.
As for the work he's putting into the place, here are some highlights: -- Remodel of the 1,695 sq ft master bedroom, plus adding 98 more ft. -- Addition to the maid's room and the deck that sits above it -- New roofs on all structures, new stucco siding -- 68 new windows(!!) Some other notables include putting in all new doors,
remodeling the kitchen and master bath, and adding a spa. The permits value the total job at $342,752 ... but Drake's likely to pay much more than that when it's all said and done. Drake bought the home in 2012, and it's been broken into multiple times. Hopefully these doors come with better locks.
Malia Obama is full-on attached to her new boyfriend. Malia and Rory Farquharson took a field trip from their home base at Harvard in Cambridge to New York City,
where they strolled through Soho. Rory's a Brit who pretty quickly set his sights on the former First Daughter.
They were tight during the Harvard-Yale game last November, and they've clearly kept it going. Malia's 19 -- a freshman -- and Rory's also 19 and a freshman at the Ivy League school in Cambridge.
Venus Williams didn't look like someone who just got knocked out of the Australian Open, because she seems relaxed as can be with her BF. 37-year-old Venus,
who lost on the opening day of the tourney, took a stroll with Nicholas Hammond on Hamilton Island in Queensland,
Australia. Venus and Nicholas seemed oblivious to the entourage that followed them. They started dated pretty recently.
Nicholas, who's 25, was Venus' plus one at little sister Serena's wedding. Hammond is the heir to the TV Guide fortune. Listen Live: www.jamz101fm.com

Kodak Black got busted after cops saw his infant child surrounded by drugs and a handgun during an Instagram Live broadcast. As we reported, the rapper got arrested Thursday in Florida and was booked for 7 charges ... including drug possession, child neglect and grand theft of a firearm. According to police docs,
obtained by JAMZ 101.5 HD2 ATLANTA, officers responded to Kodak's home after someone observed the IG vid of multiple men in a bathroom rolling joints and playing with a handgun. Police say the final straw came when Kodak's kid was brought into the bathroom, and was just inches away from a lit joint, and the weapon. Police say Kodak did nothing to get the child away from the danger.
The IG Live broadcast was still rolling when police came into the house. According to docs, police found weed out in plain view, and got a search warrant. They ended up finding 94.9 grams of marijuana in his bedroom closet. They say his safe contained cash and a loaded Glock with 9 rounds,
and there was a Beretta handgun in his office. The Beretta was reported stolen in December, hence the grand theft charge.
Kodak Black was just arrested in Florida on a slew of charges including grand theft of firearm, possession of marijuana and neglecting a child. Details of the arrest are currently unclear, but the rapper was hit with 7 charges in total. -Grand theft of firearm. -2 charges of possession of weapon or ammo by a felon.
-Possession of marijuana over 20 grams. -Neglect child without great bodily harm. -2 probation violation charges. Kodak has had numerous run-ins with the cops over the years ... he was released from jail back in June after serving 97 days of a 364 day sentence. Black's early release stemmed from the completion of a voluntary life skills course behind bars.
Kodak's in the middle of serving a one year house arrest sentence where he needed permission from his probation officer and the court before traveling anywhere. If the new charges stick, it appears he will be serving some serious time.
The rapper was also indicted on sexual conduct charges in October ... that case is ongoing. We reached out to Kodak's attorney who had no comment.
It's hard to envision just how close to death Ric Flair was in 2017 ... until you see the photo of the WWE legend while he was recovering in the hospital. Nature Boy just posted a pic taken right around the time he woke up from his medically induced coma back in August.
He looks extremely frail as he tries to walk with the help of a wheelchair. The good news ... Flair also posted a "NOW" pic --
in which he's bulked up and crushing a stationary bike! WOOOOO!!!
Blac Chyna's house manager is in a coma and it's got Chyna's exes, Tyga and Rob Kardashian?, opening their wallets to help pay for medical expenses. Patty, who also helped run Chyna's clothing line, suffered a stroke in July but continued to work --
despite doctor's orders -- to support her 3 kids. She went into a coma in December due to bleeding on the brain. What's worse ...
Patty was pregnant and doctors had to terminate the baby. Patty's family set up a GoFundMe page and Tyga was one
of the first to donate -- $5k under his real name, Michael Stevenson. Rob also donated $10k and, as of Thursday morning, $18k of the $50k goal had been raised in just a few hours.
Taylor Swift's alleged stalker is facing new charges after prosecutors say they uncovered a new batch of creepy emails he sent, threatening to kill her entire family ... TMZ has learned. Law enforcement sources tell JAMZ 101.5 HD2 ... Frank Andrew Hoover sent the new emails to Taylor's father, Scott, between May 2015 and Oct. 2016.
According to the 122-page indictment one terrifying email read, "Decided that we are going to end all the Swifts on one day because I can’t stand that virus shit your daughter spread." Others included ..."The evil family of devils:
Scott, Austin, Taylor, Andrew. Sincerely, the end real son of god" -- and, "This article is not a joke and is why god is going to burn them into the desert for me." Another simply said, "Go to hell,
Swift." Hoover also allegedly told Scott, "Enjoy the brain aneurysms and death." As we reported ... Hoover was arrested for violating a restraining order by allegedly tailing Taylor while she was in Texas back in 2016. The new charges are for stalking and repeatedly violating a restraining order.
Katy Perry is having some serious issues making it to the "American Idol" judge's table on time. Production sources tell us Katy's almost always late to the audition rounds,
showing up 10-25 minutes after call time. While it's been frustrating for show producers, we're told the other judges -- Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie -- haven't been all that upset.
There's a bigger issue that looms. We're told the judges are all solid and their chemistry is good. Problem is ... there's no comedic tension a la Paula/Simon or Blake/Adam on "The Voice." Katy is really fun, Lionel has a strong point of view and Luke's pure country. But they're not at each other's throats, either in a serious or funny way, and some honchos are worried that's the kind of heat that makes a show a hit. As one source said, the editing of the auditions is everything. It could make or break the reboot.
Cardi B ?might break her next record at the box office because she just inked her first movie deal ... JAMZ 101.5 HD2 ATLANTA has learned. We're told the "Bartier Cardi" singer begins filming in March, so seeing her on the silver screen might happen sooner than you think. No word what the film's called or how much she's getting for it, but it must be a ton. One source told us ...
because of filming, Cardi's had to turn down other gigs in March that would've made her between $100k-$200k. Translation ... although we don't know how much she'll make on the movie, it's not gonna be pocket change.
Cardi B recently became the first woman with five top 10 hits on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart in a single week ever, ousting Beyonce's previous record of 4. Listen Live: www.jamz101fm.com

The Game previously rapped about his father on the song "Bloody Moon," rapping, "My father left me when I was seven, at a home/Left me but took his chrome, I looked up and blood was gone/Man, fuck it,
guess in the world I'm all alone." In related Game news, the rapper recently showed his support for Lavar Ball and the Ball family, defending the father's decision to pull his son LiAngelo Ball out of UCLA. "You know, I learned a long time ago not to tell nobody what to do with their kids, man," the rapper said. "It's his kid, you know?"
The Game added, "He doing what he doing, man, but I'm pretty sure whatever decision he made was in the best interest of his child." The rapper has yet to publicly comment on his father's death.

Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel and WWE superstar Roman Reigns were all dimed out as alleged customers of a now-imprisoned steroids dealer. The dealer, Richard Rodriguez, named all 3 celebs during a phone interview he did, from prison.
Rodriguez claims they used aliases to make the steroid purchases. Rodriguez is being investigated by the DEA, and is already facing charges for conspiracy to distribute anabolic steroids and money laundering.

Mariah Carey tried to pass the buck on South American promoters, laying the blame on them for her canceled 'Sweet Sweet Fantasy' gigs ... according to a countersuit they've just filed. The promoter, Fenix, says it arranged for Mariah to play 2 shows on her tour -- one in Argentina and one in Chile ... but she pulled out. The "why" is what sparked this legal war.
Mariah's company initially sued Fenix, claiming it didn't pay her for the shows and damaged her brand. But according to the new docs, obtained by JAMZ 101.5 HD2 ATLANTA, Fenix says it had paid Mariah nearly 75% of what she was due for the concerts -- $703,100. The promoter says that was standard ops based on previous deals with Mariah's camp. In the suit, Fenix says it believes the real reason Mariah bailed is because she had low ticket sales at 3 shows in Brazil.
Further, Fenix says Mariah defamed them when she tweeted to her nearly 17 million followers at the time ... her fans "deserve better than how some of these promoters treated them." The company is suing for at least $3 million. Mariah's lawsuit against Fenix is still pending.
The family of the boy at the center of the H&M controversy has sat down for a TV interview and they say their lives have changed drastically amid the hoopla. Teresa “Terry” Mango and Frank Mango, the parents of 5-year-old model Liam, say the “Coolest Monkey In the Jungle” hoodie was not discussed during the shoot.
But Terry said if she did notice, she “wouldn’t see such a connection to anything other than my son modeling a shirt.” Terry has faced criticism for telling people to “stop crying wolf” over the now-pulled hoodie. Reaction proved so fierce that members of a racial political group in South Africa raided several H&M stores and toppled local displays. It led to a temporary closure of H&M stores in the nation,
but eNews Channel Africa reported the shops reopened Sunday, Jan. 14 with tight security. Yet, the mother added that she didn’t feel the response was an “overreaction.” “Everyone should act differently based on their opinions of what racism is — I know what racism is. I have had racist remarks directed at me first hand …
I’ve been called monkey before on a cruise ship.” “To put the T-shirt and the word ‘monkey’ with racism, maybe that is not my way of looking at it,” she added. “I’m just looking at Liam, a Black young boy, modeling a T-shirt that has the word ‘monkey’ on it. And I think everybody should respect different opinions based on racism.”
The backlash has caused the family to move out of their home, with Frank saying they have other kids they’re raising and that they as parents “have an obligation to kind of protect our children.” Still, Liam isn’t aware of the controversy, he simply knows that everyone loves him.
